Ernie Lynn Pierson was relieved of his Earthly body after a long and joyous experience. He leaves behind three adult children, Matthew Pierson, Lisa Schoenegge (Joey), and Kevin Pierson (Julianna). Grandfather to 7, brother to 8, helper, lover, giver and teacher to the many. Ernie Pierson's big ol' generous heart found peace (with his disease) after 63 years, 8 months, and 7 days of successful campaigning for life, liberty, love and laughter. He left mountains of good memories atop a few grains of sand. Seldom was his life celebrated on the anniversary of his birth; please join together in celebration of his life this Sunday, May 18th, 2014 at 4:00 pm. Services will be held at the Lion of Judah World Outreach Center (formerly Adat Adonai) on Douglas Road at Alexis. (Click on Service Schedule tab for a map.) If you ever laughed with him, laugh with us now. If you ever sang with him, let us sing together. If you cried with him, please come tell us a story. If he ever got you into trouble, If he ever helped you out, If he ever sang at you- loudly in a public restroom or while riding in an elevator full of people, we'd love to talk about it. If he ever told you an inappropriate joke in a cafeteria or in line at a grocery store and you laughed so hard it shook your chest, come share this celebration with us. If he ever forced you to perform a genuine smile involuntarily, If he ever just walked into your home unannounced or you found him under your car, come let us know this day, who you are. If he ever flirted with your girlfriend in front of you and then picked you up in a bear hug and shook you like a clogged pepper shaker- come and sit and share a meal. His life, his time and his lessons were bigger than we think.
